I'm a little bit late considering that this sweet little girl is 6 months old now. Time flies when you are a mother of two (toddler and baby) and a partner in a children's clothing line. It amazes me how little Lizzie Jean has grown into a talkative, laughing, bubbly and just super adorb 6 months old. We had such a blast hanging out over the weekend that it made me so nostalgic that I've decided to upload her newborn session. There will be more photo sessions in the future and it won't take me 6 months to upload.

Some weeks are especially hard. This week is one of them. Baby girl came down with a viral infection accompanied by 105 degrees temperatures. She spends most of the time in only her diaper and is extremely fussy. This reminded me of when she was a newborn in only her diaper and is extremely fussy. The newborn period where we were sleep deprived, tired and walking around like zombies. I don't miss those days and definitely won't miss this week. Next week will be better ...

This week has been hard. I've been doing a lot of reflecting on my life especially with my relationships. I've realized that I need to get back to a more spiritual way of living. I have to make more time to "connect" with people in my life. I have to stop and take the time to breath. I have to make the time here count because life is too short not to.

It's incredible to look back at this image. Even though I didn't live in the dorms during my college years, I did spend a lot of time there because of amazing friends like Nida. We've been friends for over 13 years and counting. Congratulations to the new addition to your family and I can't wait to meet him.
daylight saving time - spring forward
In honor of daylight saving time, here is the first glimpse of Spring.
zoe - 15th month old
It's amazing how fast your child grows. Everyday she learns something new and becomes more independent. I'm so proud of her but at the same time, I want to stop time and keep my baby girl as a baby. I miss the days where I hold her in my arms as she falls asleep. It's now replaced with hours of running after her and keeping her safe. However, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Being an only child growing up can be very difficult. You have to learn to be independent and it gets quite lonely at times. Thank god for my cousin Tawnie and her daughter Jada. Those years in college living across the country from my parents were a lot happier with these two around. They are the closest people to me. I can't imagine not having them in my life.
nature's music - rain
I really don't know why I'm complaining about the weather. It could be 23 degrees outside instead of a perfect 75 degrees but I really do miss the rain. It was only 3 days of rain here in Los Angeles (we really needed a lot more to be out of a drought) last week and that isn't enough. I miss the cold crisp air and the sound of falling rain drops. But again, it could be 23 degrees outside and I will still miss the rain.

My best friend and my daughter's godmother, she is one of the most amazing people I know. She's kind, sweet, funny and I can't imagine not having her in our lives. Looking back at this image taken in the dorm room in 2001 reminded me of where our friendship begin. We <3 you.
ona - the palma bag
I recently ran across this camera bag and all I can say was "gorgeous!" This bag is absolutely gorgeous and the best thing about is that it is a functional camera bag. The price is a bit steep ($329) but I've been guilty of spending way more money for a regular bag. I just love the color of the leather and it will definitely age well over time. It can hold a DSLR and up to two lenses plus the front pocket can hold a moleskin notebook or even an ipad. This is definitely going to be at the top of my wishlist.
